The new book on ancient thermalism, derived from the Madrid 2023 Congress, is now available in Open Access at Archaeopress !

Following the interesting congress held at the UAM, Madrid (Spain) in March 2023, a book with some of the interesting contributions made at the congress has just been published by the prestigious publisher Archaeopress.

This publication “Thermalism in the Roman Provinces: The Role of Medicinal Mineral Waters across the Empire” presents new research, revisions of some well known and less studied sites, as well as new archaeological excavations and projects in many different countries around the Mediterranean. The texts are all written in English and are accompanied by original colour images and plans, which will greatly help to understand and appreciate the many aspects of interest about these sites.

The book has been published in Open Access, and the pdf can be downloaded free of charge from the archaeopress website
If you are also interested in this book on paper, it can be purchased on the same website  with a promotional launch discount (see the application instructions in the link, using the promotional code 775220).

Thanks to all the authors for making this possible, and to the different institutions that have given their support. Undoubtedly, this publication will be one of the first books that will mark the renewed lines for the research of Ancient thermalism in the coming years.

Please, do not forget to download and share it (PDF publication) and send us your opinion!
Go on! 😉
