{"id":5217,"date":"2022-10-16T14:12:56","date_gmt":"2022-10-16T12:12:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/healingspasinantiquity.es\/\/?p=5217"},"modified":"2022-10-16T14:12:56","modified_gmt":"2022-10-16T12:12:56","slug":"the-call-for-papers-to-the-3rd-international-congress-on-ancient-thermalism-is-already-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/healingspasinantiquity.es\/es\/the-call-for-papers-to-the-3rd-international-congress-on-ancient-thermalism-is-already-open\/","title":{"rendered":"The call for papers to the 3rd International Congress on Ancient thermalism is already open!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">After the 1<sup>st<\/sup> International workshop Roman Baths and Thermo-mineral Baths in Urban and (Micro) Regional Perspectives (Kiel 2021); and the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> International Workshop Roman Baths and Thermo-mineral Baths: an update on the present state of research (Bern, 2022), we are pleased to inform you that we are already working on the organization of the <strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> International Thermal Congress that will take place at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid -UAM- (Spain) in 9-10th March 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">For this 3<sup>rd<\/sup> workshop, we propose to put the focus on questions about thermal spas and territory, including different subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">Healing spas adapted to topographical and geological local conditions. Constructive solutions to different issues.<\/li>\n<li class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">Architectonical and functional characteristics of thermal spas: the use of local and foreign materials and technical knowledge<\/li>\n<li class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">The role of bathing establishments in the different territories<\/li>\n<li class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">Healing spas and ancient roads. Pilgrims and visitors on thermal sites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Contenidodelatabla\">\u00a0As in the previous meetings, the idea is to reinforce a network for the exchange of experiences and ideas related to the study of Ancient spas, focused on the Roman bath establishments with mineral-medicinal waters.
